Dynamically add items in cloud zoom carousel

In some cases I want to add items dynamically via javascript to my carousel.
How can I do that? Is there any API?

We are using jQuery jCarousel to display thumbnails in carousel. We are not aware of any way to add dynamically content to the carousel.
