Yes, the sitemap footer link is not available in the Element theme because the footer is modified, but the source code can be taken from the default theme or any other theme that uses the default footer source code.
Please keep in mind that your modification will be gone if you upgrade your theme in the future so you have to merge that code manually in case you upgrade the theme to another version.

this is not theme specific or Nop-Templates related, the social media buttons are structured like this in the framework (nopCommerce).

the "Sale of the Day" plugin is a part of the Element theme and it comes with styling for this theme. If the styling is missing, then your plugin installation is not proper. Make sure you have the "Element" directory added to your plugin (Plugins\SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.SaleOfTheDay\Themes\)
If you still have problems after you install your plugin properly, please start a support ticket.

the HTML widget plugin provides integration of 3rd party content via widget zones, it doesn't deal with layout formatting or elements positioning. In order to achieve your desired layout you have to be familiar with css.
