Menu with Loose categories that have pictures

Hi,

I have a requirement from my client that their Mega Menu be set up with two menus "Products" and "Categories". The former lists product type centric categories and the latter lists use case centric categories.

The problem is that the list of categories that they require in the menu are not sub-categories of a common parent, and so I have configured these as a Custom Link on top of a list of indented single-categories.

I cannot however set the template on the Custom Link to List with Pictures. And there is no way to set a template on each category to anything but Category.

Since categories cannot have multiple parents, is there any way that I could get a List with Pictures view of a collection of loose categories?

Unfortunately, there is no way to add the With Pictures layout to a template with Custom Links simply because custom links don't have a picture attached to them. The Pictures template can only be added to menus that display Categories, Manufacturers, and Vendors.
