Nop Anywhere Sliders needs to be updated!!!

It is using a very old version of Nivo Slider.
The new version is responsive and has many benefits.

When will you upgrade the extension?

Hi Albertsaab1,

Basically the new version of Nivo slider should be only a new js file, which you can easily upgrade by changing this file with the latest version:
Plugins\SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.AnywhereSliders\Scripts\nivo\jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js

We will see if the plugin would work with the latest version of the Nivo Slider or it will need some changes and will let you know.

Thanks!

Hi Boyko,

I did try to do that. It was a total mess.

Thanks,

Albert Saab

Hi Albert,

What do you mean by "it was a total mess"?
We just replaced the javascript file with the latest version and it was working fine.
It looks like the settings of the slider haven't changed but we need to be sure what is changed in the new version before we decide to upgrade to the latest version.

Thanks

Hello
Yes I copy that file back. Here is the file with all the plugin that belongs to to the theme

SevenSpikes.Core
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.AnywhereSliders
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.NopQuickTabs
SevenSpikes.Nop.AjaxFilters
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.AjaxCart
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.InstantSearch
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.SmartSEO
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.MegaMenu
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.JCarousel
SevenSpikes.Nop.Plugins.CloudZoom
SevenSpikes.Theme.ShopAll

Hi VTT,

Did you check if the Instant Search plugin folder is present in the Plugins folder as well as all the other SevenSpikes plugins? You can also double check the Description.txt file in the Instant Search plugin folder and make sure it contains the 2.7 version.
If so then restart your application by simply edit the Global.asax file by putting some empty spaces in it and save it.

Please let us know how it goes!

Thanks

Hello Boyko,

Thanks, http://sportovepotreby.com should be accesible right now.
Could you give a hint where to look. Styles.css is quite big.

Your web site could not be opened. If the text does not fit in the buttons then you need to accommodate the theme css styles to your needs.
Themes\nopClassic\Content\styles.css

Hi Skrider,

Initially I though it is a problem with the button but now I managed to open your web site and it looks like that your subscribe box title text is too long and can't fit in the right column. I don't think this could be fixed with changes to the styling as the right column has a fixed length. The best is to add some shorter text for the newsletter subscription box. You can do this by searching for this text in the resources for your language and make it shorter.

Hope this helps!

Hi VTT,

It looks like the Nop Instant Search plugin is not installed or is missing from the Plugins folder.
Did you copy back the old InstalledPlugins.txt file after the upgrade?

Thanks

All the categories in under sevenspikes.megamenu.admin.settins.menuitemnamevalue. I couldnt see the categories on the top menu.

I would likte to add screenshot here , but not possible. maybe mailing later
any suggestion?

Hi trendyget,

To see all the top level categories in the Mega Menu you need to change a setting in the Administration of the Mega Menu plugin.
Please go to Administration –> Plugins –> Nop Mega Menu –> Settings and uncheck the “Show categories in a single menu:” option.

Thanks!

Hi,

Just installed Shop All theme and very impressed.

I've have a problem in that the images on the main slider are "fuzzy". On looking into it, I have the nivo slider size set as 960 x 334 and the images I'm uploading are the same size. However on checking the properties of the uploaded images it appears they've been resized to 600 x 208 hence the fuzziness. How do I get the slider to accept the full size images.

Hi janarro,

Could you check if you by any chance have set a setting for the maximum upload image size?
Go to Configuration -> Settings -> Media Settings and check the Maximum image size setting.

Hi manager,

Could you elaborate more on this image?
What exactly is wrong with the theme? We can see that the JCarousel is placed in the left column, which is wider and shows more than 1 carousel image. Is this that you want to fix?

Thanks

Hello, I've installed the ClassicTheme on sportovepotreby.com (nopC 2.7) and now (standard) texts in the buttons on the right side don't fit anymore. What can I do? I like this theme, it's very nice.
See "Subscribe to newslette..."

Please advise.
