I've installed the categories header menu and it's working fine apart from, if you type in a search request, the dropdown instant search results show behind the header bar so you can't see the first few search results. Can this be changed?

Hi janarro,

I guess this a Z-index problem. The default search results should have a bigger z-index than the header menu.
Please try to set a z-index:1001 for example on this class ui-autocomplete that is used from the default search results.
You can do this in the css file of your theme Themes\YourThemeName\Content\styles.css

Hope this helps!

Thanks Boyko,

Will this new Mega Menu work with nopCommerce 2.5?

Hi Kent,

Actually the mega menu is available only for nopCommerce 2.65.
I didn't realize that you could be using another version of nopCommerce.

Thanks

Hi kent,

Thank you for pointing this issues out.
Actually all of them have alredy been fixed. You just have used an older version of the Shop All theme.
If you download the theme package again you will see that this css issues are fixed and also now the Shop All theme comes with the Mega Menu plugin styled for it, so you have the option to chose which menu to use either Mega Menu or Categories Header Menu. It is up to your preferences.
You can see the Mega Menu in the Shop All theme on our Demo site.

Many thanks again for giving us feedback!

Things are working great - excellent theme! One question though. I have enabled the forums and added a forum group and a forum but in the main store I have no option for getting there. How can I make this work properly?

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,

We will add a new option to the administration of the Mega Menu to add a link to the Forum.
We will let you know when we are done.

So before the home_page_bottom, I could add a div that is float left. Could I also wrap the home_page_bottom in a div that floats right or will that not work in MVC. If I also want additional images and content can that be added in additional div's like I would in normal html farther down the page

Thanks!

Hi pdesignz,

Yes, you are right. Razor files could be seen as regular html files. You can change them i.e add new div elements, wrap other elements in div elements, add images, etc. Just give it a try and do it. If there is anything you are not sure how to do you can always take a look at the already created Razor view files in the Views folder.

Thanks!

Hello, I am not familiar with MVC and in the past I have been using Nopcommerce 1.9 as that was the last version that used web forms. Someone in the nopcommerce forums suggested that I use the latest 2.65 version as it was a better version and had more features and that the customization would be easy. What I am want to have is a graphic to the left of the carousel section. In the past I could have added a div with a graphic and floated this left, but I am not sure how to do this in MVC.

Thanks

Hi pdesignz,

We have been using nopCommerce since version 1.5 and we must say that the new nopCommerce 2.x versions are much much easier to work with. Especially if you want to make customization. It is quite simple as you need to open the view where you want to make your changes and just do them. No need of recompiling the code you can see the changes immediately. For example if you want to change something on the Home page you can edit the Razor view: Themes\YourThemeName\Views\Home\Index.cshtml file.
The Razor syntax is a mix of Html + C# code, which makes it understandable from front-end developer and C# developers at the same time.
Simply add your <div> element and that's all.

Thanks for the reply, I did not even notice the Administration>Plugins menu, I thought it was Aminsistration>Configuration>Plugins. I like the demos of all the products and am debating on purchaing the whole suite with multiple domain option, but not sure if I can afford that. Have you had any reviews or response to your plugins.

Thanks

Hi pdesignz,

You can checkout our clients section where we have posted some of our customers that are using our products.

There are plenty of discussions about our plugins here in the Forum. We have a separate topic for each plugin in the Forum.
If you want to suggest some new features for our plugins you can also do this in our UserVoice portal.

Many thanks!

Hello, I just downloaded and installed the Nop Classic theme, and am having issues having the theme display like your demo is showing. I copied the NopClassic folder to the Themes folder and copied all the plugins to the plugins folder. I then went into Administration and changed the theme from DarkOrange to NopClassic. I then went to configuration, plugins and installed all the plugins. When I go to configure, it says configuration is not needed. I have cleared my cache and restarted the application and my homepage does not display as yout demo. Could the issue be that I am running this via localhost or therefore because I do not have the licensed versions of the plugins and therefore will not show or display and only acts like the original NopClassic theme. I am also new to asp.net and MVC, but was recommended to install 2.65 from the NopCommerce forums as said was easy to use and work with, so not sure if there is something I need to configure outside of the installation.

Thanks

Hi pdesignz,

Thank you for considering our products and we are sure our plugins will be a great addition to your web site!

You have done everything correctly. But in order to configure the plugins you need to use another menu in the Administration -> Plugins -> Nop Plugin Name.
Please refer to our online documentation for the various plugins and how to configure them.

Should you have other questions don't hesitate to ask.

First I would like to say that you did a great job with the Electronics Theme and appreciate your effort you put in your themes and tools.

I would be also interested to purchase this mdoule if it is integrated in the electronics theme header menu and not come up as an additional menu. As well I would need the option to select Blog and Forums for the Nop Mega Menu. Is it is possible to add the option Forums?

Thanks a lot,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for considering our product!

The Mega Menu will be integrated in the Electronics theme for nopCommerce 2.65 in a few days(probably tomorrow) and everyone that has purchased the theme will be able to use it without the need to purchase the plugin separately.
The Mega Menu plugin allows you to show the Blog link by simply checking a checkbox in the Administration of the plugin. We will add a new checkbox for the Forum as well.
You can read our blog post about the Mega Menu plugin.

Hello,
  we need to create sliders for each language of the site. So we need upload images for each language.

Is it possible? If yes, how can we do it?

Thanks.

Hi codicezerouno,

There is no way to do this out of the box with the current version of the Sliders.
The workaround for this is to use Manual integration by SystemName for the sliders and name your sliders by including the language culture in them.
For example if you have 2 languages - English and Italian.
Then you need to create two sliders and name them Slider-en-US and Slider-it-IT. Then for Slider-en-US upload images with English text and for Slider-it-IT upload images with Italian text. Then you need to integrate them Manually by including the current language culture in the SystemName parameter.

@{

            var currentLanguageCulture = Nop.Core.Infrastructure.EngineContext.Current.Resolve<Nop.Core.IWorkContext>().WorkingLanguage.LanguageCulture;
        }
        @Html.Action("Slider", "AnywhereSliders", new { systemName = "Slider-" + currentLanguageCulture })

Then simply add the code snippet above to the place where you want your slider to appear in the view file.
Now when you change the language to be Italian it will show with name Slider-it-IT and show the Italian images.

About manual integration by systemName you can read point 2.1 in the online documentation:
http://www.nop-templates.com/Help/NopAnywhereSliders/Version_2_6/lessons/Integration.html

You idea to have a way to mark a Slider for a given language from the Administration is great. You can suggest it in our UserVoice portal and let others vote for it.
