Q8: How to remove the “Powered by nopCommerce” copyright notice?

In this article, I will show you how to remove the copyright notice "Powered by nopCommerce" if you are using one of our themes or a theme that is not developed by us.

If you are using one of our nopCommerce themes, you need to go to the theme settings and scroll down to the Footer Settings panel. You will see a setting Remove Copyright. We have added this setting in the administration of our themes for the convenience of our customers. Mark the checkbox, and this will remove the copyright notice in the footer of your website. Don’t forget that you cannot remove the notice unless you have purchased the removal key.

You will also notice a setting Remove Designed By Nop-Templates.com link. You can mark this checkbox free of charge and remove this notice, as well. However, if you wish to support us, leave the notice on your website and get 10% extra discount on your next purchase.

If you are not using one of our themes, then you need to follow the steps below to remove the copyright notice. Again, make sure that you have purchased a removal key from the official nopCommerce site beforehand.

Go to Administration -> Configuration -> All Settings (advanced) and search for toreinformationsettings.hidepoweredbynopCommerce. After you find the setting, change its status to true. This will remove the copyright notice in the footer of your website.
